Keep an eye on Applied Digital (APLD).

After hitting a one-year low, and finding double bottom support, it’s starting to show signs of
life again. In fact, after a sharp decline in its share price, two senior executives stepped in to buy
nearly $6.7 million worth of stock.

On October 16, Chairman and CEO Wes Cummins purchased 55,803 shares at $18.04 each. That
represents an investment of just over $1 million, according to his regulatory filing. President
Jason Zhang made an even larger purchase that day. He acquired 300,000 shares at prices
ranging from $18.40 to $19.16, paying a weighted average of $18.86. His total investment came
to approximately $5.66 million.

These purchases matter because executives are committing their own money. Investors often
view that as a sign that management sees value at the prevailing share price.

What Would Make a Recovery More Convincing?

The latest double-bottom pattern could offer another reason to watch the shares, but it needs
confirmation. Such a pattern forms when a stock tests a similar low twice. A sustained move
above the rebound between those lows would provide stronger technical evidence that buying
interest is improving.

The fundamental case needs confirmation, too. Cummins and Zhang have supplied a
meaningful vote of confidence. Now Applied Digital needs to support that confidence with
timely project deliveries, growing rental income and a clearer path toward profitability. If those
pieces come together, the recent purchases could look well timed. Until then, the stock offers
an interesting recovery story with meaningful execution risk still attached.

Sincerely,

Ian Cooper
