Technology continues to command an outsized share of market leadership, making it increasingly important to distinguish stocks with genuine buying support from those simply riding sector momentum. One name that stands out is Dynatrace (DT), which spent much of the early year consolidating in the high $30s before breaking out in late spring and establishing a sustained pattern of higher highs and higher lows. The shares have since pushed to fresh 52-week highs and recently cleared multi-year overhead resistance, while its On-Balance Volume (OBV) indicator has been trending higher alongside price. That combination suggests buying pressure is consistently outweighing selling pressure, providing technical evidence that DT’s advance has participation behind it rather than relying on price momentum alone.

With DT trading around $65, buying shares outright offers a straightforward way to participate, but the options market presents another route worth considering. Rather than paying for a call option loaded with time value, I’d look at an in-the-money call debit spread, a defined-risk strategy that can provide bullish exposure with more flexibility around where the stock finishes at expiration. One example offers 56.2% profit potential if DT finishes at expiration up, flat, or down as much as 10.0%, with an entry cost of just $320; the outcome remains conditional on the spread’s specific strike prices, expiration, and final stock price, and the initial debit is at risk.
