The NASDAQ announced changes to the NASDAQ-100, which could boost new additions.

That’s because the index is tracked by numerous funds and ETFs, like the QQQs, which will buy added stock to replicate the index. In addition, added stocks will see increased visibility and credibility, improved liquidity, and potential momentum.

Even better, over the last 10 years, about 85 stocks were added to the NASDAQ-100. On average, those stocks gained about 17% of upside during the year following the addition.

One of the stocks that should benefit is Palantir Technologies (PLTR).

Palantir (PLTR) has become one of the most exciting, most explosive artificial intelligence stocks on the market. It was also just added to the NASDAQ-100.

Also fueling upside, Bank of America just reiterated a buy on the stock with a price target of $75 from $55 citing accelerating U.S. growth and a growing economic moat.  “In a world where, efficiency, innovation, safety, and speed are the most valuable assets, we see Palantir as the enabler and winner in this new era,” said the analysts, as quoted by Seeking Alpha.

Sincerely,
