Walmart (WMT) plunged more than 9% after its quarterly report raised concerns about slowing consumer spending and included a cautious third-quarter outlook. The earnings-driven gap sent the stock below every major moving average and through support near $107.85, with WMT finishing close to its low on heavy volume.

Momentum has turned bearish, and selling pressure increased sharply. A confirmed break below the $102.50–$102.85 area could provide an opportunity to consider puts, with potential downside targets near $100 and $99.19. Because the stock has already suffered a substantial one-day decline, traders may want to wait for confirmation rather than chase the initial drop.

Wishing you the best,

Wendy
