It is no coincidence that right after we saw the highest Labor Day weekend gas prices in history that we see signs of people looking for ways to fight that price hike. We have seen a correlation in the past of alternative energy related stocks and rising prices at the pump but it has been lagging lately.

Now it is looking like it might be time to play catch up.

Here are two tickers to watch this week that offer some nice returns as people look for energy cost relief.

FSLR is showing some encouraging momentum after bouncing off support. The Oct 16 230 calls are at about 8.70 this afternoon and are a trade to consider.

Another ticker we are adding to our watchlist is LIT, the lithium related ETF. Is has seen some downward pressure that we want to see it shake before jumping in. But as demand for more alternative energy options rises, so will demand for batteries.
